More Information for Curriculum Students

During the pandemic, FTCC honed its already capable system of online instruction with excellent results. Between mid-March and May of this year, most of FTCC’s face-to-face instruction was shifted online. Despite this change, most FTCC students were able to complete their courses on time. FTCC also improved its graduation rate for spring and recorded remarkably high passing rates in many courses over the summer. FTCC is now offering a mix of face-to-face, hybrid (partly face-to-face and partly online) and fully online courses. All face-to-face classes are conducted according to strict safety protocols, including required face coverings and social distancing. Face-to-face classes have limited numbers of students to ensure social distancing.

The Pandemic and Your Safety

FTCC has operated throughout the pandemic, always adhering to strict safety protocols aimed at preventing the spread of COVID-19. Current safety protocols include requirements for face coverings, social distancing, daily temperature scans, frequent cleanings of common areas and commonly touched surfaces. FTCC’s protocols are continually reviewed and have been updated numerous times to ensure they meet strict safety recommendations by the Centers for Disease Control and the Cumberland County Health Department.

All face-to-face classes are conducted according to strict safety protocols, including required face coverings and social distancing. Face-to-face classes have limited numbers of students to ensure social distancing. Face coverings, social distancing and safe behaviors are also required elsewhere on campus.

The College acts immediately to protect others upon any report of a COVID-19 positive case or possible exposure and we are proud that the incidence of the virus among students, faculty and staff has been well below 1% and, since the start of our Fall Semester, no cases have been traced to an on-campus exposure. Your safety is of the utmost concern at FTCC.

“I can’t afford to take classes right now”

Before giving up on your dream, please explore your options for financial aid through FTCC. Different types of financial aid and scholarships are available.

Learn more about the different types at this link – https://www.faytechcc.edu/financial-aid/types-of-aid/

You don’t have to figure this out on your own. FTCC has financial aid advisors who can help you with questions, including questions about FAFSA – the Free Application for Federal Student Aid. A FAFSA application must be filled out for any type of financial aid. Again, FTCC can help you with your questions about FAFSA

You may also apply for one or more scholarships. FTCC is accepting scholarship applications for the 2020-2021 school year (starting in August). Visit this link to learn more – https://www.faytechcc.edu/financial-aid/types-of-aid/#scholarships
