English as a Second Language (ESL) Classes

ESL classes are for adult English language learners who want to improve their speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills in English.

What is Keytrain?

KeyTrain is the targeted curriculum and self-paced learning tool designed specifically to help job seekers develop and master the applied workplace skills as defined by the WorkKeys System and the Career Readiness Certificate.

Hundreds of employers across North Carolina and thousands across the USA are using the WorkKeys System to verify that their new employees have the work place foundation skills and “soft” skills they require for a successful business.

KeyTrain provides both practice assessments and training modules for each of the eight foundation skills (Applied Mathematics, Reading for Information, Locating Information, Applied Technology, Teamwork, WorkPlace Observation, Listening for Information and Writing). It is directly focused on helping to improve skills as well as raising one’s scores on the Career Readiness Certificate assessment.

Successful students and job seekers also focus on developing their “soft” skills. These skills relate to how a person positively engages with others on the work team and are indicative of a person’s values, work principles and behavioral maturity. “Soft” skills are critically important in the work place and are very highly valued by all employers as they build teamwork in conducting workplace activities to satisfy their customers.

ACT WorkKeys

ACT WorkKeys is a job skill assessment system used by businesses in the United States to measure workplace skills of employees and job applicants and by schools and colleges to help prepare students for the workplace.
