What is High School Connections?
Get a head start on your degree or career. Take free college courses as a high school student to accelerate completion of college certificates, diplomas, and associate degrees that lead to college transfer or provide entry-level job skills.
High School Connections (HSC) is the local branch of the state program, Career and College Promise. The program provides seamless dual enrollment educational opportunities for eligible North Carolina high school students.

Student ID & User Name
You will need access to Self-Service, Canvas & Student Email at FTCC. Having the correct username and password are essential to logging in.
Student logins are based on the information given during registration. i.e. first name, middle name, last name.
Your username is made up of the following elements:
If your last name is seven letters or less, use all of your last name and the first letter of your first name, plus the last 4 digits of ‘Person ID’ number (on reverse side of Student ID Card)
Example:
Student name: James Supersmart
Person ID #: 0012345 (on reverse side of Student ID card)
Username: supersmj2345
If your last name is hyphenated or contain special characters, do not include the hyphen or special character in your username
Example:
Student name: Angela Doe-Smith
Person ID#: 5671234
Username: doesmita1234

Benjamin Fisher
Career Coach
Born and raised on a farm in Northern Indiana, Benjamin moved to North Carolina in 2004 when he was stationed at Ft. Bragg. Benjamin attended Fayetteville State University where he earned both his Bachelors and Master’s degrees in Business Administration.
Prior to coming to FTCC-High School Connections (HSC), Benjamin taught at South View High School for five years. Benjamin enjoys aiding and directing students on how to achieve their academic and career goals. Benjamin says his office is always open when students need academic or life advice, or just need someone to speak with.
In his spare time, Benjamin likes to watch sports, spend time with his children, and work in his garden or complete other home improvement projects.
