Pamela Gibson
Interim Coordinator
Pam Gibson is the Dean of Engineering & Applied Technology at Fayetteville Technical Community College. Prior to that, she spent 12 years as a Coordinator for Career & Technical Education in Cumberland County Schools, and 5 years as a high school counselor. Pam served on the Cumberland County Workforce Development Board from 2013 to 2019.
Pam is a native of Pittsburgh, PA, and she and her husband, Scott, are lifelong Steelers fans. They came to North Carolina by way of the U.S. Army. After 20+ years of active service to his country, Scott retired from the Army, and he and Pam made the decision to make Fayetteville, NC their permanent home.
Pam and Scott are the proud parents of two adult children and grandparents to two grandsons and one granddaughter.

Gary Womble

I’m Gary Womble Jr, a Fayetteville, NC native and alumnus of Fayetteville State University. Promoting students toward becoming the overall best version of themselves is my personal life goal. Counting it a joy to guide anyone through scholastic or personal endeavors. I’ve worked in education for the past twelve years in various capacities including: Coach, Teacher, and Mentor to name a few.
I have been described as a “fitness lover,” I spend free time enjoying biking, running, weightlifting. You’ll learn I’m a devoted “Carolina Panthers” NFL team fan who never misses an opportunity to watch their games.
Remaining focused on each task put in my care. Successfully managing all responsibilities that I accept I live by my favorite quote “a leader is most effective when he empowers others!”

Zasha Abella Hernandez
Career Coach
Zasha Abella Hernandez was born and raised in Bayamón, Puerto Rico, where she graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Puerto Rico and a Master’s degree in School Psychology from the Interamerican University.
Zasha has worked in various areas of higher education, including Admissions/Recruitment, Career Services and now assisting the High School Connections team as a Career Coach.
Zasha enjoys assisting students in their development and furthering their progress. Her motto is: “You will face many obstacles in life that might defeat you temporarily, but never let yourself be defeated.”
During her free time, Zasha is known to be at the gym weightlifting, spending time with her dogs, and enjoying going out with her family.

Jennifer Dugat
Career Coach
Born in Germany and raised as a military child, Jennifer spent most of her life in Louisiana. Having married a military member, she now lives in North Carolina.
Jennifer enjoys meeting with students and helping them plan for success. Jennifer believes that all students can succeed with the right tools! Her goal is to be a part of each student’s journey to success. Most of all she enjoys encouraging students to be who they are! “Being different isn’t a bad thing. Benjamin Fisher
Career Coach
Born and raised on a farm in Northern Indiana, Benjamin moved to North Carolina in 2004 when he was stationed at Ft. Bragg. Benjamin attended Fayetteville State University where he earned both his Bachelors and Master’s degrees in Business Administration.
Prior to coming to FTCC-High School Connections (HSC), Benjamin taught at South View High School for five years. Benjamin enjoys aiding and directing students on how to achieve their academic and career goals. Benjamin says his office is always open when students need academic or life advice, or just need someone to speak with.
In his spare time, Benjamin likes to watch sports, spend time with his children, and work in his garden or complete other home improvement projects.

Kristian Roman
Career Coach
Born and raised in Fredericksburg, Virginia. She joined the military in 2013 and moved to Fort Liberty, North Carolina where she met her husband, Pablo. They have 3 beautiful kids together, Sofia, Orlando and AJ. Kristian has her Bachelor’s degree in History from Fayetteville State University. She enjoys reading and telling fun facts about History. Her and her husband are huge Orlando Magic fans and enjoy taking chances to travel to Orlando FL to see them play and take the kids Disney World.
She’s excited to work with students to better and achieve their educational goals for their future endeavors.
