The Trojan’s traveled to play Cleveland Community College on Friday, pushing the game into overtime, but falling short. Women’s Basketball is currently 9-8 overall and 5-8 in conference play. They are sitting in seventh place in Region 10 as we head into the final month of regular season games. 

FTCC vs. Cleveland: 59-68, Loss

The Yetis took a lead in the first quarter, but the Trojans pulled ahead by one point going into halftime. Getting back on the court after the half, the Yetis took the lead in the third, but the game ended tied at 57. Moving into overtime, the Yetis scored 11 points, while holding the Trojans to only two. 

Aaliyah Thomas (Fayetteville, NC) was the leading scorer and had a double double with 15 points and 20 rebounds. Ke’onna Bryant (Fayetteville, NC) also had a double double game with 13 points and 12 rebounds. 

Nyla Mitchell (Lumberton, NC) scored 12 points with six rebounds and Amore’ Kirkland (Fayetteville, NC) added eight points and six assists.

The Trojans are back at home this Wednesday for a make-up conference game against Southwest Virginia. Tip-off is scheduled for 5:30pm. All home games are free admission and played at Reid Ross Classical School: 3200 Ramsey Street.
