Women’s Basketball traveled to Raleigh this past weekend to play the Eagles of Wake Tech CC. The Trojans were down by one point at half time 35-36 and came out strong in the third quarter outscoring the Eagles 19-17. With a hard fought fourth quarter, the Trojans fall short six points.
FTCC vs. Wake Tech (L, 72-78)
The Trojan offense was led by Zuri Dunlap (Memphis, TN) with 15 points and 2 steals. Danielle Jackson (Raleigh, NC) ended the game with 12 points and 5 rebounds.
Joy Ezeh (Abuja, Nigeria) had herself a double double game with 11 points and 10 rebounds. Morgan Brady (Fayetteville, NC) also had 11 points and 2 steals for the Trojans.
Off the bench, Shay Ward (Smithfield, NC) was a contributing factor for the Trojans. She had 10 points and 7 rebounds. Luisa Monsalve (Colombia) added 8 points and went 2-2 from the free throw line.
The Trojans travel to Louisburg this Tuesday (November 15) for a conference game at 6pm.
