FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Fayetteville Tech volleyball earned a straight-set win over visiting Guilford Tech on Tuesday, topping the Titans in sets of 25-13, 25-15 and 25-11.

The win puts the Trojans, who have opted to play a conference-only schedule this season, at 2-0 on the year. FTCC, which opened its slate on the road at USC Lancaster last week, has yet to drop a set.

The Trojans led early in each game, building double-digit leads en route to the win.

Sophomore right side hitter Lauren Adams led the attack, recording 18 kills. Sophomore Alyssa Wrench had 10.

The Trojans combined for a dependable defensive effort, with Wrench, Kristen Woods and Taylor Melvin each notching nine digs. Melvin, at the line first in the Trojans’ rotation, tallied seven aces. Freshman setter Jacqueline Woosley had 41 assists.

The Trojans travel to Lenoir CC on Feb. 24 before returning home March 4 against Bryant & Stratton for their only other home game this season.
