FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Fayetteville Tech volleyball cruised past USC Sumter on Thursday night, earning a 3-0 victory and recording its third straight win.

The Trojans (11-2) made quick work of the visiting Fire Ants, winning in sets of 25-6, 25-15 and 25-11 in a match that took just over an hour.

The win was the Trojans’ second straight against a non-division opponent. FTCC returns to the road for another non-division matchup against Division III Patrick Henry CC on Monday.

The Trojans travel to divisional opponents Lenoir CC (Oct. 6) and Pitt CC (Oct. 7) before returning home for their only home tri-match of the season on Oct. 9. They’ll host Bryant & Stratton at 11 a.m. and USC Lancaster at 3 p.m.

Sophomore right side Lauren Adams led the way on Thursday, tallying 12 kills and 13 digs. Sophomore outside hitter Alyssa Wrench also had 13 digs and finished the night with nine kills and three aces.

Adams and sophomore middle Sonjai Guiles each recorded three block assists.

Sophomore setter Jacqueline Woosley tallied 32 assists.
