Volleyball played in the DII Region 10 Tournament this past weekend in Raleigh, NC. The Trojans were seeded #3 East which went up against the #2 West seed, Davidson-Davie Community College.
FTCC vs. Davidson-Davie (W, 3-1)
The Trojans started off back and forth with the Storm until they gained a lead taking the first and second set. Davidson-Davie took the third set, but the Trojans fought back in the fourth to take the game 26-24.
Morgan Brady (Fayetteville, NC) had her best offensive game of the year, leading the Trojans with 14 kills in the match. Jacqueline Woosley (Fayetteville, NC) hit her 2,000 career assist at FTCC with her 42 assists against Davidson-Davie. Aliyah Brown (Fayetteville, NC) had her second highest dig game of the season with 20 digs. Hannah Spexarth (Fayetteville, NC) and Woosley were close behind with 19 digs each.
The Trojans had their second highest blocking game of the season with 12 total blocks. Eternitie Denton (Fayetteville, NC) and Sonjai Guiles (Georgetown, SC) each had 6 assisted blocks and Brady had 5 assisted blocks in the match. Guiles also had 1 solo block.
There were 8 service aces against the Storm. Spexarth led with 3 service aces with Taylor Melvin (Fayetteville, NC) and Olivia Johnson (Fayetteville, NC) close behind with 2 each. Brady added one ace.

The Trojans won the first round game against Davidson-Davie which advanced them to the next day of games. They matched up with the #1 seed on the East, nationally ranked #6 Richard Bland.
FTCC vs. Richard Bland (L, 0-3)
The Trojans gave a hard fight against the Statesmen, but Richard Bland ended up on top. The offense was led by Brady, Spexarth and Sydney Conklin (Fayetteville, NC) who each had 4 kills. Woosley led defense with 9 digs, with Brown right behind with 8 digs.
