Trojans Surging

It’s been a roller coaster ride!  That’s how men’s basketball head Coach, Brian Hurd describes the 2021-22 season. Despite injuries, a nationwide pandemic and weather forced cancellations, the Division II Trojans are currently ranked 3rd in NJCAA Region 10.

This week, FTCC Trojans continued their winning streak, bringing home an 86-68 victory against Wake Tech Community College.  Coach Hurd says nothing has been given to his team this season, “everything has been earned.  We’ve worked for every point on the scoreboard.”

Meanwhile, FTCC Trojans are showing up on the hardwood and impressing fans with their shooting skills, nailing those difficult long shots. However, more work is needed with experience and maturity on the floor to handle the tough moments. Hurd says, “that will come with experience.”

Trojans have set their sights on the bigger picture – SURGING TOWARD A CHAMPIONSHIP TROPHY!  They’ve got their work cut out for them.  However, FTCC is evenly matched up against top ranked, Davidson-Davie and 2nd place Wake Tech.  Coach Hurd says the goal is to bring home the Championship title.

FTCC fans are 110% behind our home team.  GO TROJANS!  KEEP ON SURGING!
