Fayetteville Tech softball will welcome a handful of North Carolina-based travel teams to the city this weekend for the inaugural Trojan Cup.
The tournament is scheduled for Saturday and Sunday at Freedom Christian Academy. FTCC and the visiting teams will play each other in a round-robin format Saturday beginning at 8:30 a.m.
On Sunday, the Trojans will step away to let the travel teams complete round-robin play before the two travel teams with the best two-day record face off in the final for the Trojan Cup.
Entry to the Trojan Cup is free for spectators.
Next week, the Trojans begin their fall schedule, which includes all away games.
