FAYETTEVILLE, NC – May 1, 2018 – Fayetteville Technical Community College (FTCC) announced today that The Pharmacy Technician Guide for 2018 has ranked the College’s Pharmacy Technology program as 9th in the nation. The Pharmacy Technician Guide closely evaluated 496 pharmacy technician schools across the country to determine the list of Top Pharmacy Technician Schools.

The Pharmacy Technician Guide provides comprehensive educational resources for aspiring pharmacy technicians as well as for those already working as one. The information is provided after extensive research and valuable inputs from industry insiders. The ranking listed the top schools offering pharmacy technician programs in the nation by closely evaluating the average tuition cost, admission rate, loan default rate, graduation rate, placement rate, percentage of enrolled students taking federal loans, and the student-to-faculty ratio. FTCC offers an Associate Degree in Pharmacy Technology, which spans across four semesters. FTCC’s Pharmacy Technology program requires a competitive admissions process for students who must complete all pre-requisites and gain points for admission. The Pharmacy Technology program provides training for students to gather data and monitor drug therapy, maintain inventories, mix intravenous solutions and other specialized medications, package medications in unit dose, dispense medications, and update profiles.
