FAYETTEVILLE, NC – March 11, 2019 – Fayetteville Technical Community College (FTCC) announces “Draft (Hiring) Days” for the Class of 2019 in Collision Repair and Refinishing Technology. Student observations will occur on March 12 from 1:30 – 4:30 p.m., and interviews will occur on March 13, 2019, at the Collision Repair and Refinishing Technology educational center located at 2821 Procurement Circle in Fayetteville (Military Business Park).

Draft days allow representatives from national automotive companies, collision repairers, and insurance carriers to visit FTCC to observer students performing various collision repair operations and processes, interact with students, and interview students for jobs upon graduation. Industry executives from over 25 companies (such as NGIC, ABRA Auto Body & Glass, Caliber Collision, Sonic Automotive, Service King Collision Centers, and others) will attend the two-day event. In addition to interviewing prospective 2019 graduates for new positions, employers will also be able to meet and mingle with first-year students for possible internships.

The structure of the Collision Repair and Refinishing Technology Associate degree program provides students with not only technical training in collision repair and refinishing but also industry-recognized, specialized certifications including nine professional certifications from I-CAR (Inter-Industry Conference on Auto Collision Repair) and refinishing certification from Pittsburgh Plate Glass (PPG). Honda PACT recognizes FTCC’s program as a provider of Professional Automotive Career Training.
