The FTCC’s Men’s Golf team placed second in the last regular season match this spring. Sandhills won the tournament by 5 strokes with FTCC ahead of Wake Tech by 7 strokes. Richard Bland and Patrick Henry also fielded players, but did not post a team score. This is the second year that the Trojans have finished second in the Wake tech tournament and defeated the host team.
Tyler Fox finished just one stroke of the medalist position, and he is playing well heading to the first FTCC Golf postseason tournament. The Trojans will play in Helen, GA for the Region 10 Championship, April 23-24. This is also the District qualifier for the NJCAA National Championship in Foley, AL. The top two teams and top two players from non-qualifying teams will advance. FTCC has played well lately and could send players, if not the team, to Alabama.
