RICHLANDS, VA — Fayetteville Tech men’s basketball won their second straight victory, cruising past Southwest Virginia 95-77 on Sunday, Nov. 17.

Jawon Eddie, a 6-foot-9 freshman out of Raleigh, powered the Trojans with a game-high 21 points and 14 rebounds, recording his second double-double of the season.

In their second road game in as many days, the Trojans jumped out early, carrying a nine-point lead into halftime at 44-35.

The Trojans’ second-half performance was aided by a strong night at the foul line. FTCC went 17-for-20 from the stripe in the game, shooting 85 percent as a team.

Guards Josh Haymer, DeShaun Leftwich and Collin Lewis helped drive the offense. Leftwich finished the night with 15 points, and Haymer added 13.

Lewis scored 10 and led the Trojans with five assists.

The Trojans continue their road stretch with a game at Louisburg on Nov. 20, the first of four remaining away games before they return home to Reid Ross Classical on Dec. 8.
