KINSTON, N.C. — Fayetteville Tech tallied its third straight win Wednesday, Dec. 4, with a 73-60 win at Lenoir CC.

Sophomore forward DaJuan Hill paced the Trojans, scoring 20 points and grabbing 19 rebounds for his first double-double of the season.

Hill is the team leader in scoring and rebounding, averaging 12.1 points and 8.6 boards a game.

Forwards DeShaun Leftwich, a sophomore, and Donte Johnson, a freshman, also notched double-digit scoring nights. Leftwich scored 14, and Johnson finished with 10.

After a first half plague by shooting struggles, the Trojans trailed 39-21 at halftime, staring down a 18-point deficit.

FTCC was particularly dry from deep range, going 2-for-14 from behind the 3-point line in the first half.

Undeterred, the Trojans crashed the boards in the second half, sparking a run of baskets in transition.

FTCC out-rebounded the Lancers 52-37 and pulled down 35 defensive boards.

The Trojans’ three-game winning streak continues a successful stretch. The men have won five of their last six games, propelling them into third place in the Region 10 Division II standings.

After playing eight of their first nine games on the road, the Trojans return home Sunday, Dec. 8, to face conference opponent Bryant & Stratton at 5 p.m.
