Doug Irish, Department Chair of FTCC’s Collision Repair and Refinish Technology program, was featured in the latest newsletter from the Collision Repair Education Foundation.

Irish, who is a member of the CREF’s Board of Trustees, contributed to the Letters from Leadership section of the newsletter.

“The Collision Repair Education Foundation (CREF) scholarship award is significant to our students and our program,” Irish wrote. “At Fayetteville Technical Community College (FTCC), several of our students have won CREF scholarships. This money has been used for tool, uniform purchases and in some instances, to cover tuition. Each year, we encourage the students in our program to apply for a CREF scholarship since the money be used directly as needed by the student. Without CREF’s direct for schools and students, there be a definite negative impact on the industry as a whole.”
