Men’s and Women’s Basketball celebrated their nine sophomores on Saturday, February 24 before the start of the men’s game. 

Men’s Basketball recognized five sophomores on their 2023-24 roster: Aldrick Ke Edwards, Rayvon Moncrieft, David McCallum, Gerren Jones and Aaron Randolph. 

K Edwards 2Aldrick Ke Edwards: 

Ke came to FTCC from Conover, NC. He is earning his Associate of Arts degree and plans to continue on to a 4-year university and pursue a degree in Criminal Justice. 

 

 

D Mccallum 2

David McCallum:

David came to FTCC from Durham, NC. He is earning his Associate of Arts degree and plans to continue on to a 4-year university and earn a degree in Business Management. 

 

 

 

R Moncrieft 2Rayvon Moncrieft:

Rayvon came to FTCC from Ayden, NC. He is earning his Associate of Arts degree and plans to continue to a 4-year university to study Business. 

 

 

 

G Jones 2Gerren Jones:

Gerren came to FTCC from Swansboro, NC. He is earning his degree in Business Administration/Marketing and plans to transfer to a 4-year university and earn a degree in Marketing. 

 

 

 

A Randolph 2Aaron Randolph:

Aaron came to FTCC from Anderson, SC. He is earning his Associates of Arts degree and plans to continue to a 4-year university and pursue a career in cyber security. 

 

 

 

Women’s Basketball recognized four sophomores on their 2023-24 roster: Joy Ezeh, Danielle Jackson, Luisa Monsalve and Rilya Mitchell. 

L Monsalve 2Luisa Monsalve:

Luisa came to FTCC from Colombia. She is earning her degree in Business/Associate of Arts and plans to transfer to a 4-year university to get a degree and continue playing basketball. 

 

 

 

J Ezeh 1Joy Ezeh:

Joy came to FTCC from Abuja, Nigeria. She is earning her Associate of Arts degree and plans to transfer to a 4-year university and get her degree. 

 

 

 

 

R Mitchell 2Rilya Mitchell:

Rilya came to FTCC from Kansas City, KS. She is earning her Associate of Arts degree and plans to earn a degree in cybersecurity. 

 

 

 

D Jackson 1Danielle Jackson:

Danielle came to FTCC from Raleigh, NC. She is earning her degree in Early Childhood Education and plans to continue her basketball career at the next level. 

 

 

 

 

Men’s Basketball beat Southwest Virginia 92-85 in their last home regular season match of the year. They are on the road for their last regular season game Thursday, February 29 when they travel to Louisburg College for a 7pm start time. 

Women’s Basketball is traveling to Brunswick Community College for their last regular season game Wednesday, February 28 at 5pm. 

Both teams are looking to receive a host game on Monday, March 4 for the First Round of the NJCAA Region 10 Conference Tournament.
