Steve Driggers became joined FTCC Athletics as J.P. Riddle Stadium Events Coordinator in January 2020, moving to the position after serving as the Assistant Director of Fundraising and Donor Relations with the FTCC Foundation.
Driggers spent three years with the Methodist University Foundation before joining the FTCC Foundation team in 2019.
Driggers is a native of Boston but moved to Fayetteville as a youth in a military family. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Secondary Education from Methodist University in 1976.
He spent the next 25 years teaching history and coaching a variety of high school sports at Fayetteville Academy and Terry Sanford High School before switching careers to work in sales in the telecommunications industry.
Driggers has remained connected to the local high school sports community through his work as a broadcaster with Mid-South Sports. He’s provided sideline reporting and play-by-play calls for almost 30 years.
He and his wife of 42 years, Patty, have two children, Emily and Scott, and four grandchildren, Ethan, Cole, Owen and Jacob.
