FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — The Fayetteville Tech volleyball team is off to a 4-0 start this fall, adding a straight-set win over visiting Patrick Henry CC to its streak Thursday.
The Trojans topped the Division III Patriots (0-4) in sets of 25-10, 25-12 and 25-15.
Sophomore right side Lauren Adams led the attack, tallying 11 kills and recording five service aces.
Taylor Melvin, in at libero for the Trojans, had a team-high 15 digs, while sophomore setter Jacqueline Woosley notched 25 assists.
At net, freshman middle Morgan Brady had a pair of solo blocks and assisted in two more.
The win sends the Trojans into a weeklong break before they return to the court for a home match Sept. 16 against Central Carolina CC, another Division III opponent. That match will be the last at home before the Trojans hit the road for a three-game stretch.
