Men’s Basketball made the trip up to Cedar Bluff, Virginia to face the Eagles of Southwest Virginia. The Trojans were up by 28 points at the half and continued with their energy into the second half to beat the Eagles by 42 points. 

FTCC vs. Southwest Virginia: 114-72, Win

Jaylen Sturdivant (Raeford, NC) was the leading scorer coming off the bench with 25 points with five rebounds. Armaan Benitez (Philadelphia, PA) made 14 points with three assists and a steal. 

Three other Trojans shot double digits: Ja’Merl Brockington (Lumberton, NC) with 13 points, Cameron Burns (Charlotte, NC) with 12 and Jaden Lyles (Charlotte, NC) had 11. 

Ray Mitchell (Jacksonville, NC) lead the defense with 11 rebounds. Garrett Morgan (Charlotte, NC) had seven assists. 

The Trojans shot an impressive 77.8% from the free throw line, missing only four of 18 foul shots.

Men’s Basketball does not have any games this week, but will be back in action Wednesday, November 19 when they will host Guilford Tech at 7PM for their first home game of the season.
