The FTCC Lady Trojans were the only team to break their seeding in the first round of the NJCAA Region 10 Championship Tournament. Unfortunately that meant they were to face nationally ranked Catawba Valley CC in the second round. The Red Hawks were too much for the Trojans as they fell, 53-88, at Lenoir Community College. Although this was a disappointing season for the Trojans, they found hard to the end, and got some excellent scoring from players who have not had much productions this year.

The Red Hawks jumped out to an early lead as the Trojans were unable to get shots to fall. That has been the problem all year as the Trojans are near the bottom in shooting percentage in their conference. Briana Evans had 12 pts on the night to follow up the 13 she had at Clinton on Monday. This was a chance to see her shine. Amarilis Floyd played her final game at FTCC and was able to get 8 pts. The Trojans were able to pull as close as 12 pts. late in the first half, but were unable to sustain any consistent effort and fell to a deeper team that should go deep in the tournament.
