LOUISBURG, N.C. — Fayetteville Tech volleyball slipped to 1-1 on the season after dropping a four-set match at Louisburg College on Tuesday.

Plagued by errors, the Trojans lost the first two sets each by a score of 25-23 but settled into a groove to take the third set 25-16.

The Hurricanes pulled away in the fourth set, stretching a 15-12 lead into a 25-22 win to claim the match.

The Trojans backline handled a hard-hitting Hurricanes team well. Sophomore setter Krislyn Bullard let team with 13 digs. Paige Stalnaker and Kristen Woods notched 12 each, and Anna Grey Barbour recorded 11.

Upfront, freshman outside hitter Alexis Spexarth had a team-high 13 kills, while Da’Nya McPhatter hit 11.

Fayetteville Tech will play its first home match Tuesday, Sept. 3, against Pitt Community College at 6 p.m.
