Steve Driggers will serve as FTCC’s Interim Athletic Director.
Fayetteville Tech is pleased to announce that Steve Driggers will serve as Interim Director of Intercollegiate Athletics.
Driggers succeeds Mike Neal, who retired July 31 after steering the athletic department since its inception in 2016, and will head the department while the College continues its search for a permanent replacement.
In addition to his new duties with Trojan Athletics, Driggers will continue in his current capacity as Event Coordinator for J.P. Riddle Stadium.
In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the NJCAA has postponed most competition until spring 2021, allowing teams to practice and scrimmage with restrictions during the fall semester.
Driggers said he looks forward to working closely with Compliance Officer Katie Blim, as well as the coaches to keep the department in sync.
“I was very excited and honored that I’d be considered for the position,” Driggers said. “My goal is to work with Katie to make sure that when the new AD comes on board that the athletic department is ready to move forward.”
