BLUEFIELD, VA — Fayetteville Tech men’s basketball recorded its first win of the season in decisive fashion, cruising past Bluefield College’s junior varsity 108-53.

DaJuan Hill’s 24 points led the way for the Trojans. The sophomore went 11-for-15 from the field and pulled down eight rebounds.

Fellow sophomore Mike Collins recorded a double-double, scoring 19 points and notching 11 rebounds.

The Trojans (1-3) had their best shooting night of the season, good on 61.8 percent from the field and 60 percent on 3-point goals.

FTCC came out hot, building a 51-29 advantage at halftime before stretching the lead to 55 points by game’s end.

The game is a part of a packed road trip for the Trojans, who will travel to Richlands, Virginia, to take on Region 10 newcomer Southwest Virginia Sunday, Nov. 17.

From there, the Trojans will play four more road games before returning home Dec. 8 to host Bryant & Stratton.
