HENDERSON, N.C. — Powered by strong performances from its post players, Fayetteville Tech won its second straight game with a 83-62 showing at Vance-Granville on Nov. 30.

Freshman forward Jawon Eddie scored a game-high 16 points, while sophomore big man DaJuan Hill poured in 12. Freshman Donte Johnson and sophomore Mike Collins, both forwards, each added 11.

The Trojans’ prowess in the paint was also evident on the boards, where FTCC out-rebounded Vance-Granville 39-21. Hill and Johnson led the way with seven rebounds apiece.

The Trojans edged ahead in the first half, leading 40-32 at halftime before pulling away to a double-digit lead in the second frame.

The win puts the Trojans at 3-2 in Region 10 Division II play and even at .500 on the year at 4-4 overall.

FTCC has won two straight and four of its last five games.

The Trojans continue a grueling season-opening schedule, which has included eight of their first nine games away, with a road contest at Lenoir CC on Monday, Dec. 4.

The men will be back at home Dec. 8 at 5 p.m. to host Bryant & Stratton.
