Fayetteville Technical Community College is pleased to announce that Dr. C. Caleb Marsh has been named Interim Dean of Math and Sciences. In this capacity, Dr. Marsh will work to ensure quality instruction and effective student learning in course offerings across the Mathematics and Science Departments.

Dr. Marsh also currently serves as the Director of FTCC’s Center for Academic Excellence.

Dr. Marsh previously held the position of Department Chair for Mathematics at FTCC and has served on the Mathematics faculty at South Caldwell High School, Appalachian State University, and Caldwell Community College. Dr. Marsh has received multiple commendations for professional excellence including the inaugural 4 Under 40 Award for Leadership from the Boone Area Chamber of Commerce and the Dr. Donald Lackey Award for Excellence in Teaching at Caldwell Community College.

As a graduate of the NC Community College System’s Basic Skills Program, Dr. Marsh credits his time as a community college student as the most formative of his life and he has a deep appreciation for the work we do at FTCC.

Dr. Marsh received his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in statistics and mathematics, respectively, from Appalachian State University and completed his doctorate in community college leadership at Old Dominion University.
