Ms. Gibbs has been teaching since 2003 and joined FTCC in 2010. She teaches Introduction to Statistics and Math Measurement & Literacy. Passionate about connecting math to real life, she believes every student can succeed when instruction meets their learning style.

Jonathan Griffin is a Mathematics Instructor at FTCC. He began teaching in 2010 and joined FTCC in 2018. He teaches from Quantitative Literacy to Calculus and is dedicated to building student confidence and critical-thinking skills.

Kayla Harman is a mathematics instructor at FTCC. She has 12 years of teaching experience and joined FTCC in 2024. She enjoys helping students grow in math skills and confidence.

Ms. Cassandra Johnson is the Department Chair and a Mathematics Instructor at FTCC. She joined the college in 2019 and became Department Chair in 2023. She previously served 15 years at Robeson Community College as a Mathematics Instructor and Director of the NSF-STEM Scholars program.

Lori Kiel currently serves as Division Chair of Mathematics at Fayetteville Technical Community College. She has taught at FTCC since 2001 and frequently teaches Precalculus Trigonometry, Calculus, and Linear Algebra.

Mrs. Alicia Kirk-Dixon is a Mathematics Instructor at FTCC. She began her teaching career in 2011 and joined FTCC in 2025. She teaches developmental mathematics through Precalculus.

Travis Locklear joined the Mathematics Department at FTCC in 2024. He has worked in the North Carolina Community College System since 2011 and believes in empowering students through real-world problem-solving.

Mr. Lowe serves as Physical Science Department Chair at Fayetteville Technical Community College. He has been teaching since 1996, joined FTCC as an adjunct in 2014, became full‑time faculty in 2020, and was appointed chair in 2021. With expertise in physics and chemistry education, he specializes in curriculum development and faculty mentorship. His experience spans secondary and post‑secondary education. Mr. Lowe is passionate about making science accessible and fostering collaborative learning environments that support student and faculty success.

Joshua Osborn is Department Chair of Biology at Fayetteville Technical Community College, where he has taught general biology, microbiology, and marine biology since 2016. He began teaching in 2008 while working with the National Marine Fisheries Service, where he investigated how barging practices affected infectious disease transmission in juvenile Chinook salmon to support conservation efforts. He emphasizes scientific literacy and connecting biology to daily life.

Dr. Adhikari is a physics instructor in the Physical Sciences department at FTCC, joining the institution in Fall 2025. He has been teaching since completing his undergraduate studies in Nepal, leading to his master’s and doctoral studies in physics. His doctoral research involved gravitational wave observation and multi‑messenger event detection. He is passionate about making physics and astronomy accessible to students.

Dr. Bell serves as a Biology Instructor at FTCC, specializing in Anatomy and Physiology. She began teaching at FTCC in 2018. Before teaching, she conducted research in molecular biology focusing on cell division and germ cell development.

Leah Heim teaches Anatomy and Physiology at FTCC. A medical doctor who chose teaching over residency, she integrates HIPAA-compliant clinical examples and research experience to enrich learning.

Dr. Koelemay Knowles teaches introductory and general chemistry. Her background is in astrochemistry and radio astronomy, exploring how chemistry influences outer space.

Mr. Landers began teaching at FTCC in 2016 and began teaching chemistry in 2009. His graduate work examined electrochemical reduction of CO₂ using novel ruthenium hydride catalysts. He also works on computational modeling of organic and organometallic compounds. He is the lead instructor for CHM 130 and the sophomore organic chemistry sequence.

Dr. Langdon is a faculty member in the Biological Sciences Department at FTCC, specializing in Biochemistry and Anatomy & Physiology. She has taught in higher education since 2006 and joined FTCC in 2008. Prior to her academic career, she worked 13 years as a genetics research scientist. She believes every student has potential and aims to equip them with the skills and support needed to succeed.

Dr. Lodhi is a Biology Instructor specializing in general biology, microbiology, and genetics. He has taught since 2007 and joined FTCC in 2014. Before academia, he worked in biotechnology and pharmaceuticals leading product development projects. His expertise spans molecular genetics, plant biotechnology, and nanotechnology. He is active in community service and student mentoring.

Dr. Pilkay is a Biology Instructor and STEM Liaison at FTCC. He has been full-time since 2013. His background includes entomology, parasitology, wildlife science, and environmental studies. He encourages students to develop interests through hands‑on experience.

Wes Parker has taught physics since 2003 and has been an FTCC faculty member since 2014. He earned a B.S. in Physics from UNC Asheville and an M.S. from the University of Tennessee before pursuing doctoral research in Optical Science and Engineering at UNC Charlotte. His work focused on fluorescence spectroscopy and single‑molecule detection. He teaches the full range of physics courses and emphasizes real‑world applications.

David Reynolds teaches multiple courses including BIO‑110, BIO‑111, BIO‑112, BIO‑243, and BIO‑275. He has been involved in biology education since 2006 and joined FTCC in 2019. His expertise includes marine biology and sea turtle research.

Dr. Wallace specializes in Anatomy & Physiology and has taught in community colleges since 2009. She joined FTCC in 2025. She has practiced as a Chiropractor since 2005.

Dr. Williams specializes in mammalian ecology and paleoecology and has taught at FTCC since 2022. His research includes species responses to climate change.

I have over 20 years of experience in elementary education, including roles as a classroom teacher, instructional coach, school administrator, and higher education instructor at Fayetteville Technical Community College. In my roles as an Instructor and Coordinator of the Residency Licensure Certificate Program, I am passionate about preparing and supporting educators. Throughout my career, I have been dedicated to helping teachers grow in their practice, develop confidence in the classroom, and make a lasting impact on student learning. I believe education is a powerful tool for change, and I am honored to be part of each teacher’s journey. I hold a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from East Carolina University and a master’s degree in educational leadership from Gardner-Webb University. I also maintain an active North Carolina Teaching License and K–12 Administrator’s License.

Shelly Oliver has been an instructor at FTCC for 20 years. She understands the value of teachers and how important they are to the educational process. Prior experiences include teaching 1st, 2nd and 3rd grade and working as a Reading teacher.

Angela Pauly is an Education Instructor at Fayetteville Technical Community College in Fayetteville, NC. With over 34 years of experience working with Cumberland County Schools, Angela brings a wealth of knowledge and classroom expertise to her role in higher education. Her work reflects a deep commitment to preparing future educators to meet the diverse needs of children and families.

Shaunica Titus is an Early Childhood Education instructor at Fayetteville Technical Community College in Fayetteville, NC. Prior to her role at FTCC, she served as an Assistant Principal and classroom teacher in Hoke County, as well as a Special Education Teacher and Department Chair in Houston ISD. She specializes in instructional practices, diverse learning needs, and disabilities. She is dedicated to teaching methods tailored for young learners, and her work reflects a great fulfillment in shaping the next generation of teaching professionals.

Prior to joining FTCC, she spent 17 years as an elementary school teacher, primarily in Kindergarten and First Grade. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Meredith College and a master’s degree in Education from Fayetteville State University. Passionate about shaping the next generation of educators, Karly finds joy in supporting future teachers and directors as they grow in knowledge and confidence throughout their course work.
