Baseball hosted Southeastern CC-Whiteville for a three game conference series over the weekend. The Trojans took both games on Saturday, scoring nine runs in each and came back out on Sunday to end the game early 8-0. 

The Trojans are now 15-14 overall and 11-7 in conference play.

FTCC vs. Southeastern:

Game One- 9-0, Win (7-innings)

The Trojans got on the board in every inning but the fifth to end the game early in seven innings. 

Phil Williams (Wilmington, NC) went 3-5 at the plate with two stolen bases. Eythan Reynolds (Pinehurst, NC) was 3-4 at the plate with three runs scored, two doubles and a stolen base.

Jerremy Miller (Keystone Heights, FL) and Brantley Hayward (Plant City, FL) each hit a solo homerun. Kristian Scales (Madison, NC) was 1-3 with two RBIs. 

Ricky Montalvo (Inman, SC) threw five innings, giving up only one hit with 10 strikeouts. Tommy Parker (St. Pauls, NC) pitched the final two innings to secure the shutout.

Game Two- 9-5, Win

The Trojans lead up until the fourth when the Rams got on the board with three runs. The Rams added to their lead with one run in the fifth, but Cole Feldman (Midlothian, VA) tied the game up at four with a two-run homerun in the fifth. 

The Rams scored another run in the sixth to take the lead again, but the Trojans responded with five runs in the bottom of the sixth for some breathing room. 

Feldman went 2-2 at the plate with three RBIs. Reynolds was 1-2 with two RBIs, two runs scored and two walks. 

Jacob Chavis (Pembroke, NC) started on the bump throwing 3.2 innings before getting relief from Chris Layton (Four Oaks, NC) who pitched 1.2 innings. Caden Jeffrey (Fayetteville, NC) ended the game throwing the final 1.2 innings to earn the win.

Game Three- 8-0, Win (7-innings)

The Trojans took a lead early again in the first. Williams was hit by pitch to lead off the game, stole second and third base before taking home on a pass ball. Toufic Khabie (Aventura, FL) then hit a two-out homerun to put the Trojans up 2-0. 

The Trojans scored six more runs in the bottom of third to put them in run rule territory and were able to hold off the Rams to end the game early in seven innings. 

Williams had four stolen bases and Camden Lusk (Ball Ground, GA) had two. 

Israel Moore (Lakeville, MN) earned the win throwing six innings, giving up only three hits with four strikeouts. Grayson Stafford (Stedman, NC) pitched the final inning to close out the series sweep for the Trojans.

Baseball will travel to Robeson CC on Wednesday for a conference game starting at 3:30PM. Then they will head to Lenoir CC for the weekend for their next conference series.
