⏰ Time: 11:30 AM – 1:30 PM
📍 Location: Tony Rand Student Center, Multipurpose Room, FTCC main campus

The Living Law event at Fayetteville Technical Community College is an annual community program that examines notable U.S. Supreme Court cases to encourage discussion and promote collaborative learning. The event features a short film dramatizing the case, followed by a panel discussion with local legal and subject matter experts, and concludes with audience questions.
Past cases have covered topics ranging from medical marijuana legality to Miranda rights, with last year’s focusing on First Amendment limits in social media threats.

This year’s topic is Kelo v. New London, in which the city of New London, Connecticut, used its eminent domain authority to seize private property for sale to private developers. Learn more about the case at https://www.faytechcc.edu/library/the-living-law-project/

👥 Target Audience: This event is free and open to the public.

Lunch will be provided.
