FAYETTEVILLE, NC – June 8, 2018 – Fayetteville Technical Community College’s Center for Innovation, Entrepreneurship, and Small Business (CIESB), along with Wells Fargo, will host the 2018 Youth Entrepreneurship Camp for budding student entrepreneurs.  The camp location is the Fayetteville campus beginning Monday, July 30, 2018, through Friday, August 3, 2018.  The camp is open to rising 7th – 9th graders who are interested in future business and entrepreneurship goals.

The camp will feature valuable, hands-on lessons about starting a successful business.  During the week, students will participate in a variety of engaging start-up simulation games and activities to personally experience the journey from a great idea to a successful business.  Throughout the week, successful entrepreneurs from the community will share their personal experiences, insights, and lessons from their own new-business journeys.  Highlighting the week will be a team competition where camp participants will pitch their “elevator speeches” to a panel of seasoned and successful entrepreneurs.

The application for the camp can be found online at the CIESB Facebook page (www.facebook.com/FTCCSmallBusinessCenter) or at the Center for Innovation, Entrepreneurship, and Small Business (General Classroom Building Room 205) 2817 Fort Bragg Road.  Interested applicants need to complete the application and return it to the CIESB for placement consideration, which will include a brief interview.  Applications are due no later than July 12, 2018, with campers chosen and notified by July 14, 2018. Space will be limited to 20 students.

The camp fee of $52 (per student) is due by July 20, 2018, and will include a camp T-shirt (tie-dyed by the student during camp) and lunch Monday through Thursday.
