Steps to Apply to Fayetteville Technical Community College
A transfer student is one who has attended another college or university and is now seeking a degree, diploma, or certificate at FTCC.
2. Complete an Admissions Application
Make sure all areas are complete for “Residency Information” because this will determine whether you are an in-state or out-of-state student.
3. Apply for Financial Aid
Complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to find out if you are eligible for financial aid.

4. Submit Your Transcripts
High School Transcripts
An official high school or GED transcript is required for program approval and financial aid. Applicants who have graduated from an accredited college or university with an associate degree or higher may not be required to submit high school transcripts.

– High school transcripts must show your graduation date.
– Home-schooled students must submit a copy of the home school’s approved registration from the state in which they are registered and an official sealed and notarized transcript including the graduation date.
Submit official transcripts from all colleges and universities attended in order to have your credits evaluated for potential transfer credit.
-Grades at other institutions will not be calculated in your FTCC GPA.
-Certain Health programs will use outside credit to calculate competitive points.
NOTE: If you previously submitted official high school and college transcripts to FTCC (within the past 7 years), you may not have to resubmit the documents.

5. Placement Testing
Unless an applicant is exempt, FTCC requires placement testing for new students in the areas of English, reading, and math. If you took English and/or math at a previous institution, then you may not be required to take a placement test.

6. Meet with an Admissions Counselor
Admissions counselors offer guidance through the application process and provide information about programs and requirements.
To meet with an Admissions Counselor, visit the Information Desk in the Tony Rand Student Center or email AdmissionsCounselors@faytechcc.edu.
7. Register for Classes
Visit the Information Desk in the Tony Rand Student Center for assistance, or register online via WebAdvisor.
8. Veteran’s Educational Benefits
If you plan to use VA benefits, visit the Veterans Service Office in Room 202A of the General Classroom Building for assistance.
10. Student ID & Parking Decal
Bring your current class schedule and proof of payment to Room 102 of the General Classroom Building to get a Student ID.
To receive a parking permit, you will need:
– Vehicle Registration
– Valid FTCC Student ID
– Proof of Handicap Registration (if applicable)
