Step Three: Submit Official Transcripts

To be fully admitted to FTCC, all students must submit their high school transcripts and/or college indicating a conferred degree. To receive potential transfer credit, students should submit the following official transcripts:

  • Joint Service Transcript (JST);
    • Submit official JST through the JST Portal. You must complete one curriculum course at FTCC before transfer credit for your military experience will be awarded. You can request an unofficial JST evaluation by contacting military@faytechcc.edu. If you take a course that you could potentially receive credit for, you may owe money back to the federal government. By using the unofficial evaluation of your JST, this can be prevented.
  • Transcripts from any previous institutions attended;
  • Any official score reports for the College Level Examination Program (CLEP), Advanced Placement (AP), Defense Language Proficiency Test (DLPT), and DANTES Subject Standardized Tests (DSST).

If you have submitted official high school or college transcripts to FTCC within in the past 7 years, you may not have to resubmit the documents. Call Admissions at 910-678-8473 to ask about your status.

Bring your official sealed transcripts to FTCC or have your previous institution send them electronically to admissions@faytechcc.edu or mail to:

Fayetteville Technical Community College
Admissions Office
PO Box 35236
2201 Hull Road
Fayetteville, NC 28303

Students using VA Education benefits must submit ALL post-secondary transcripts for evaluation of applicable transfer credit in order to have certification submitted to VA. Failure to submit transcripts will result in delays in payment.

Step Four: Apply for Financial Aid

Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

FTCC’s Code is 007640

Step Five: Take the Placement Test if Applicable
