Tyler Johnson joined FTCC Athletics on Jan. 1, 2020 as the Trojans’ Assistant Athletic Director for Compliance/Success Coach.
Johnson, a native of Orland Park, Illinois, comes to Fayetteville Tech from Western Illinois University where he spent a year and a half as a graduate assistant for the Leathernecks. He worked primarily in the compliance department with a focus on athlete eligibility and helped with athletes’ academic progress reports.
He earned his master’s degree in Sports Management from WIU in December 2020 and his bachelor’s in Sports Management from N.C. State in 2019.
Johnson wrestled for N.C. State from 2015-19 and was a scholar-athlete. He helped the Wolfpack win two team ACC Championships and a fourth-place team finish at the 2018 NCAA Tournament.
