Fayetteville Technical Community College (FTCC) is thrilled to offer a Residency Licensure Certificate Program (RLCP). The RLCP’s three-year cohort model is designed to assist residency applicants in meeting residency licensure eligibility requirements. The six-course plan of study is fully online to maximize accessibility.
Applicant Steps:
- Create a CFNC account to access the application link (required by the system)
- Complete the application through CFNC.org – Application Hub, select “Start an Application”, and select “Alternative NC Teaching Licensure: NCCCS Cultivating Carolina Classroom” from the menu

- In addition to the application, students must provide:
- unofficial transcripts for admissions purposes
- official transcripts once admitted to the program
- a letter of employment or promised placement from the PSU/LEA
- Once the application is submitted, the applicant will be contacted by the NCCCS EPP Program Coordinator to determine eligibility and placement of the applicant.
- The application will then be forwarded to FTCC for admission to the Residency Licensure Certificate program. The applicant will be officially enrolled in the FTCC RLCP once an official transcript(s) is received and reviewed by the Admissions Office.
- FTCC Admissions will mail email, Blackboard, and student ID information upon admission. The applicant will receive also receive an “RLCP Welcome Email” from the FTCC Education Department.
