Did you know that approximately every 39 seconds, a malicious hacker is attempting to steal your data, breach confidential information systems, or manipulate one of the estimated 300 billion passwords used by humans and machines worldwide (Sobers, 2021)? With the state of remote learning and working, bad actors are on the rise and are looking for every weak link they can find, including you!
The FTCC Cybersecurity Club is a group of cybersecurity-focused students who can help you change that! If you have an interest in cybersecurity, regardless of your degree path or experience, this is the Club for you! As a member of the Cybersecurity Club, you will have the opportunity to:
- Stay current and knowledgeable about the latest cybersecurity threats and attacks
- Explore and work with toolkits and methods used by attackers
- Collaborate as part of a team to compete in the National Cyber League’s cybersecurity competitions
- Network and connect with industry professionals, local employers, and students who share your same interest in cybersecurity
