Volunteer Opportunity!

Pamela Collins, advisor with the FTCC Association of Students for Social Justice Clubcollinsp@faytechcc.edu, invites faculty, staff, and students who are interested in community service to join us on March 25 at the Veggies for Vets Garden (600 Ames Street).

Volunteers will meet from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. to assist with clearing vegetable beds, adding soil, and planting new spring vegetables. Lunch and water will be provided, but volunteers are asked to bring small gardening tools and gloves if they have them.

This community garden is a project of Off-Road Outreach (“Helping Make a Difference in the Life of a Veteran”) and ServiceSource, a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting people with disabilities and other barriers to employment.

Those wishing to volunteer can meet our club volunteers at 600 Ames Street (ServiceSource/Off Road Outreach from 10 am-1 pm on March 25th), email Sociology Instructor Pamela Collins, for details at collinsp@faytechcc.edu, or ask any of our club officers on campus about it:  Sama’a Saleh, ASSJ club president, or Beverly Leitelt, ASSJ vice president.
