This storytelling event is open to everyone regardless of sex, age, gender, and ethnicity. Tale starts with a series of workshops designed to assist you in telling your story. Workshops will be held at the public libraries in Cumberland county and on the FTCC campus. The workshop opportunities will assist you in writing your story, recording your story, producing your story, and printing your story. Stories should be less than 5 minutes. For longer stories, a recording will be made.

Participants are encouraged to tell their stories at the Tale Event. There are two showcase events. The Premiere event is on February 20 at 6 p.m. at the FTCC Paul H. Thompson Library. The second showcase is March 2, at 2 p.m. at the Headquarters Library, downtown Fayetteville. These events are opportunities to share, connect, and shine while telling your story. If you prefer not to showcase on stage, share your written story on the display table.
