Brief Overview: The Sound of Music

The Sound of Music is a classic musical released in 1965, set in Austria in the late 1930s, just before World War II. The story follows Maria, a warm and spirited young woman who becomes the governess to a widowed naval captain and his seven children. Through music and kindness, she helps bring happiness back into their home. As political tensions rise in 1938, the family must make brave decisions, relying on love, faith, and unity to face an uncertain future.
