PINEHURST, N.C. — Fayetteville Tech volleyball won its second straight road match Wednesday, recording a 3-1 victory over Sandhills CC.

The Trojans (10-2) recovered from a shaky start to win by set scores of 23-25, 25-22, 25-15 and 25-18 over the Region 10 Division III Flyers (10-5).

Sophomore right side Lauren Adams was in top form, tallying a season-high 16 kills and serving four aces.

Adams’ aces were part of a strong performance at the service line for the Trojans, who combined for 14 aces to match their season-high. Setter Jacqueline Woosley added four aces, and freshman defensive specialist Aliyah Brown served three.

Woosley lead the match with 40 assists and 13 digs. Libero Taylor Melvin had 12 digs.

The Trojans return home tonight to host Region 10 DI opponent USC Sumter at 6 p.m. in Horace Sisk Gym.
