FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Fayetteville Tech volleyball garnered multiple All-Region 10 Division II awards for the 2021 season.

Sophomore right side Lauren Adams and freshman setter Jacqueline Woosley earned first-team honors, while outside hitter Alyssa Wrench and libero Kristen Woods, both sophomores, were named to the second team.

Head coach Moe Licardo, who has steered the Trojans since their inaugural season in 2018, was named Coach of the Year.

“It’s especially rewarding to have your peers vote for you because they see that you’re doing things the right way as a program,” Licardo said. “And to have four players recognized, just three years into the program? That really shows that we’re not known for one player. We’re well-rounded.”

Woosley led Region 10 in assists per set, 11.31 during the regular season. Adams and Wrench were both in the top five of Region 10 in kills per set, averaging 3.72 and 3.59 per set, respectively. Woods was in the top five in digs per set with a 4.41 average.

The team was announced at the start of the Region 10 Division II tournament semifinals, played Friday at top seed Catawba Valley CC.
