FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Fayetteville Tech volleyball opened its tri-match Saturday, Sept. 14, with a 3-0 win over Patrick Henry.

FTCC led early and maintained control late in each set to win by scores of 25-18, 25-20 and 25-22.

The Trojans (3-2) put together a dominant performance at the net, out-hitting the Patriots 32-26 in kills and tallying four solo blocks and seven assisted blocks.

The Trojans took advantage of a shaky afternoon by Patrick Henry up front, leading to the Patriots being called for seven blocking errors.

Alexis Spexarth recorded two solo blocks and three block assists, while notching six kills and four digs.

Sophomore middle Da’Nya McPhatter had a team-high nine kills in 16 attempts, a .375 hitting percentage. Fellow sophomore Anna Grey Barbour added seven and recorded nine digs.

Setter Krislyn Bullard led the team with 11 digs and 24 assists.
