During Red Hat’s recent 2021 North American Training Partner and Instructor Conference, FTCC was given the Director’s Award for Red Hat Academies. Holley was given the Director’s Award for Red Hat Academy instructors.

Red Hat Academy is a college-level curriculum program that allows students to use Red Hat resources and take certification exams at discounted prices. The program allows students to progress quickly towards employment in the high-demand field of open source software solutions.

Dr. Mark Sorrells, senior vice president for Academic and Student Services, congratulated Holley and said she and other members of the Systems Security & Analysis faculty help students change their lives for the better and help the public by turning out graduates trained in critical cybersecurity skills.

“We are proud of the fact FTCC faculty continue year after year to be recognized by outstanding companies such as Red Hat for exemplary leadership in cybersecurity,” Sorrells said.
