Fayetteville Technical Community College has been awarded a $15,000 grant from the Gene Haas Foundation, the non-profit established by Gene Haas, founder of machine tool building industry giant Haas Automation Inc.

FTCC Computer-Integrated Machining Department Chair Kevin Henry was notified of the grant on Sept. 28.

The money can be used to support student competition teams and student scholarships, including covering the cost of tuition, books and small personal tools required for machining courses.
