Fayetteville Technical Community College has been ranked ninth in the nation on a list of Military Spouse Friendly Schools for 2021-2022. In February, FTCC also ranked ninth in the nation in a related list of Military Friendly Schools.

The national rankings of Military Spouse Friendly Schools and Military Friendly Schools are compiled annually by Viqtory, an independent media firm that connects the military community to civilian employment, educational and entrepreneurial opportunities.

Both sets of ratings are based on evaluations of public data and responses from proprietary surveys. Military Spouse Friendly Schools are determined based on their leading practices, outcomes and effective programs for military spouses.

The complete list of 2021-2022 Military Spouse Friendly Schools will be published in the May issue of Military Spouse magazine. It can also be found at www.militaryfriendly.com.

Methodology, criteria and weightings were determined by Viqtory with input from the Military Friendly Advisory Council of independent leaders in the higher education and military recruitment community.

Final ratings were determined by combining the institution’s survey response set and government/agency public data sources within a logic-based scoring assessment. Measurement categories include the institution’s ability to meet thresholds for student retention, graduation, job placement, loan repayment, persistence (degree advancement or transfer) and loan default rates for all students and, specifically, for student veterans.

Fayetteville Technical Community College offers a wide variety of affordable and flexible educational programs for students at all stages of life, including those seeking degrees that are transferable to a four-year college, those who want training to move directly into the workplace, and those looking to learn new skills for career advancement or personal enrichment.
