Who qualifies for access to SmarThinking?

SmarThinking  is available to students enrolled in one or more of the following:

  • FTCC online and/or face-face Pre-curriculum classes
  • FTCC online and/or face-to-face Curriculum classes

How does an FTCC student request and gain access to SmarThinking?

SmarThinking is now - readily and easily! - available to FTCC Pre-curriculum and Curriculum ("college credit") students via their Blackboard ("Bb") accounts.  All that a student needs to do is log into his or her Blackboard account, click on the subject for which assistance is needed, and then click on "Tool" or "Course Tools."  This will take the student to the SmarThinking link, which will then take the student directly to SmarThinking'sHome Page and access to an e-instructor.  (Please note:  The instructor for the FTCC class for which the student is seeking assistance must enable the Tool button for this access to occur, and must then keep the Tool button enabled).
