Technical Community College has the following equipment available
for use by students with documented disabilities. The majority
of the equipment has been provided through funding from the Carl Perkins
Vocational Education Act. |

Franklin
spellers - Provides phonetic spelling corrections and spelling verification.
Students with learning disabilities may find the Franklin Spellers
useful. |

learning styles and specific learning disabilities (SLD). |

Recorder/Player (4-track) - Specifically designed for listening to

projectors - Recommended as an instructional aid especially for the
hard of hearing (hearing impaired) and different learning styles to
include specific learning disabilities (SLD). |

challenged (low vision) and blind students. |

(Text Telephone for the Deaf) - Used by hearing and speech impaired
who are unable to use a telephone in the usual way. |

Braille
'n Speak - A note-taking tool recommended for use by visually challenged
(severe loss of vision) and blind students. |

Other
equipment and supplies include lap desks which may be used by students
with orthopedic challenges and students with wheelchairs, note taking
paper and count frames |
