Welcome to Job Placement
GOAL STATEMENT The goal of the Job Placement and Cooperative Education Office is to provide a comprehensive program of job placement and cooperative education services by planning, organizing, implementing, and evaluating a program of activities to assist students and graduates in developing effective job-seeking skills, to assist the College community with documenting evaluative data to assess curriculum effectiveness, and to assist the business community by effectively participating in the human resources process. The campus Job Placement Office is available year round to assist graduates entering the job market. The Job Placement Office maintains placement records on students, initiates contacts with prospective employers, arranges and coordinates job interviews between students and employer representatives, and maintains current information on employment opportunities, including salaries. Follow-up studies of FTCC graduates are conducted yearly in order to provide current information on graduate placement, including type of employment, geographic location, and salary scale. Information is offered on available part-time jobs in the Cooperative Education (Co-Op) Office located in our campus Student Center Building Rooms 140 and 138. Local and state job information is available at the Employment Security Commission. Visit their State website at http://www.ncesc.com.
