Personal Counseling

Many students have personal concerns which may interfere with their academic success; faculty may at times refer students through our FTCC Cares program. However, if you are having problems:

...becoming motivated
...building relationships
...communicating with family
...relating with peers

then we encourage you to consult a counselor regarding academic and/or personal matters; many types of services online and face-to-face are available. The counseling staff provides an atmosphere in which students may discuss problems with the assurance that all counseling information is confidential and would be released only with the student's written consent.

A student's feelings and well-being are given primary consideration.

Counselors are available on a walk-in basis from 8 a.m. until 7 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday. Appointments are available on a limited basis by calling 910-678-8419. Please note that there may be a slight variation in office hours during the summer and when classes are not in session.
