"I want to graduate with a degree, diploma, or certificate and I need to apply for Financial Aid or VA benefits."

  1. Even though you completed an application in the past, a new application is needed to update and re-activate your file.  You may complete an on-line application by clicking this line: FTCC Application.  Please complete all sections so that your application can be processed quickly and efficiently.  You may submit it on-line, print and mail it, fax it, or drop it off in person at the Admissions Office.

  2. You should begin the application process for Financial Aid and/or VA Benefits as soon as you submit your FTCC application.  For both Financial Aid and VA Benefits, application deadlines are enforced.

  3. Depending on the program you choose, a Placement Assessment may be required.  All Associate degrees require the Placement Assessment.  Placement Assessment scores are valid for only three years.  If your scores are over three years old, you need to see a Counselor for a re-test cards.

  4. If you previously submitted an Official High School Transcript or official GED scores and completed courses, then we should have your transcript on file.  If you submitted your transcript over a year ago and you did not complete at least one course, then your transcript has been purged.  You need to request a new one.  You must complete the transcript request form and mail it to the institution.  Some institutions require a fee for transcripts.

  5. If you previously submitted an Official College Transcript(s) from all colleges that you have attended and completed courses, then we should have your transcript on file.  If you submitted your transcript over a year ago and you did not complete at least one course, then your transcript has been purged.  You need to request a new one.  If you attended another college since the last time you were at FTCC, then you need to request a transcript from that college.  You must complete the transcript request form and mail it to the institution.  Some institutions require a fee for transcripts.

  6. You must request program approval through Counseling Services either in person or on line.  Counselors will evaluate your academic record and assist you in accomplishing your educational and career goals.

  7. You are now ready to Register for Courses.
