What
is the Huskins/Collection Connections Program?
The
Huskins/College Connections is a cooperative program that allows
Fayetteville Technical Community College (FTCC) to provide college
credit in vocational, technical and college transfer courses for
qualified high school seniors and some juniors in Cumberland County.
FTCC instructors teach most courses on the college campus but the
program also offers some courses over the Internet and school locations.
Tuition is free, but you must purchase textbooks and pay fees.
You can earn college credit and high school elective credit,
which may count toward your high school GPA.
College transfer courses carry honors credit. Only high school students are assigned to College Connection
classes. If you are a highly motivated senior (or junior, in some cases) in good academic standing and you are prepared for the additional study and academic work required, College Connections may be a good option for you. To determine if you are eligible, make an appointment with your school counselor, who will help you review your qualifications. You will register for College Connections by listing your choices in your four-year Academic Plan along with your high school courses. Contact the FTCC Huskins/College Connections Coordinator, Mrs. Tina Royal at (910) 678-8542 or by email at royalc@faytechcc.edu |
